Hello again! {After 9 months of not posting}

Yeah, I think the part of “9 months” must sound confusing… so NO, I’m not pregnant, I wasn’t pregnant, and I don’t have a baby. So chill out people! I’m just gonna write a quick summary of what has happened in my life in the last 9 months.

  • I graduated from college on July 18th, 2017. {Yay for me!}
  • Had to move all the way from Idaho to Georgia, driving our car, with 5 people on it {my parents and my brother were here for my graduation and were also helping us move}, plus hauling a trailer full of our stuff, beloved items, and some junk as well.
  • It took us 8 days to get to Georgia because we had to spend 3 nights in Oklahoma fixing some small issue with our car. Got up the next morning ready to leave, left the trailer out of sight for about 20-30 minutes and… that was the last time we saw it. And everything inside of it. Sad, scary, and tragic, I know. But, well, we’re trying to get past that and start a new life here in Georgia.
  • My husband started his new job, and we’ve been very blessed with people donating things for our humble apartment which had nothing but a few backpacks with clothes and snacks when we got here.
  • After a month and a half of being here, my husband has been working so hard into getting me some art supplies that I can work with during the day. {I guess here is where I should mention that I’m taking a break from responsibilities and giving myself a time to rediscover my likes and dislikes, my abilities and see what I can do and what I need to work on.}
  • Graduating from college changed my life, I don’t have to do homework for anyone. I don’t have to do art because someone tells me to do it. I don’t have to spend hours and hours stressing myself because I want to get an “A” letter grade on my project. NO MORE OF THAT! Now I can do art because I WANT TO, because it makes ME happy, because it helps me with my stress and anxiety, and because its a therapy to me. I love to be connected to other people on social media and see what they do and show the world what I can do.
  • Been practicing little by little everyday, and I will keep going, not for a grade, nor for a professor saying how good or bad job I did, but for me. Because art is what I love, art is what I have, art is my life and I’m discovering that day after day, when the last thing I think about before going to bed is “what am I going to paint tomorrow?” And my mind starts drawing imagined lines and shapes, putting color on them, and creating something good, something that makes me want to get up in the morning to go and put it onto paper.

Now, with that being said, here I’ll leave some of my paintings I’ve been working on since we moved to Georgia:
